在许多不安的梦里，我独自走在
鹅卵石铺设的狭窄街道上。
在街灯的光晕下，
我翻起了衣领以御夜晚的湿冷，
忽然，霓虹灯闪出的光芒刺入了双眼，
分隔了黑夜，
同时也触及了沉默之音。

When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light
That split the night
And touched the sound of silence.
在无罩的灯光下，我看见

人人依然对著自己塑造的霓虹神，
膜拜、祈祷。
霓虹标语闪出了警讯，
一字接一字的形成。
标语写著：『先知的话写在地铁的墙上
与公寓的厅堂』
并且在沉默之音中呢喃。

To the neon god they made.
And the sign flashed out its warning,
In the words that it was forming.
And the signs said, The words of the prophets are written on the subway walls
And tenement halls.
And whisper'd in the sound of silence.
