2008年11月15日-16日，彭先生再次前往四川参加地震灾区的重建工作。途中他拍下这些照片，连同他的一些想法，让我传上网站和大家一起分享。

原文：Got stocked in the northern Sichuan mountains near the Gansu border by this 1st heavy snow in the region. We have been waiting for the airport to reopen since yesterday afternoon. I have already missed a few meetings scheduled for today. Looks like we have to wait even longer. Of course this is not the 1st time I got stocked 坐困危城（注：此处为原文） in my career. Through the years I have learned to adjust my state of mind 心态（注：此处为原文）at the time like this. Try to be more relaxed and let the sky fall. Of course the sky would never fall. We will find a way to get out from here sooner or later. 译文：在靠近甘肃的川北山区，下起了该地区今年的第一场大雪。从昨天下午开始，我们就被困在这里，等待关闭了的机场重新开放。我因此错过了日程表中几个排在今天召开的会议。看来我们还要再等。当然，在我的职业生涯里，这并不是我第一次坐困危城。这么多年来，我已经学会在这种情形下调整好自己的心态。让自己放松，心想，就让天塌下来吧。可是，天当然不会塌下来，迟早我们会从危城中脱困而出。
原文：Post earthquake reconstruction work is under way. Hope the villagers can move into some of the houses before the real winter arrives. 译文：地震后的重建工作正在进行中。希望在真正的冬季来临前，有一部分房子已经可以让村民们搬进去居住。
原文：The survivors of the earthquake（白马藏族）don't like to sit there and waiting for people to feed them. They stood up on their own feet to help themselves and help each other.译文：在地震中幸存下来的人们没有坐等别人的救济和供养。他们自己站了起来，积极地展开自助和互助。图中为当地白马藏族人民。
原文：The extremely beautiful Giu Zhai Guo. This is the environment we have to carefully preserve and return to our children and children's children one day.译文：这就是美丽的九寨沟。我们必须保护好这里的自然环境，好在将来把它还给子孙后代。 
原文：This National Park is extremely well managed. I couldn't even find one piece of garbage on the entire park floor and one person smoking in this park. This park is as well managed as any national park I have ever visited around the world. It made me believe that Chinese can respect and preserve the nature and environment as well as anybody in the world. 译文：这座国家公园管理得非常好。在整个公园里，我没看到地上有一片垃圾，也没发现有人吸烟。它的管理水平同我在世界上其他国家看到的任何一座国家公园不相上下。这使我相信，在尊重自然、保护环境这方面，我们中国人可以做得和世界上任何一个国家一样好。白马藏族注释（摘自《百度百科》）： 白马藏族的由来有着神奇的传说.他们居住在九寨沟一带的高山上，白马是古藏语，汉语的意思为“藏族的兵”。其实，熟悉他们的人都知道，白马人既不是藏族，也和藏族的生活、风俗大不相同。他们其实是古代仇池国白马氏族后裔。氏族是我国历史上分布在西北的一个古老的少数民族，距今有2000多年的历史。在古代，氏族的种类繁多，有白马氏、故氏、青氏、蚺氏等，其中以白马氏人数众多。在众多的古籍记载中，“氏”总是和“白马”紧密相连。《史记·西南夷列传》记载：蜀之西君长以什数，白马最大，皆氏类也；《括地志》“陇右成州，武州，皆白马氏”的记述，就充分说明了这一点。具史籍记载及考证，现存的白马藏族是陇南古老的氏人的后裔。
