灾难中的反思

这场对抗新冠病毒的战争就好似KGKF多年来与人性的贪婪、恐惧、等靠要思维的争斗，它不是一场歼灭战，而是一场持久战。在这场持久战下，我们不能期待着灾难之后一切都能恢复旧的常态，最终等待我们的将会是和以前生活大大不同的新常态。这场危机之后，无可避免的是人们思考和做事的方式都将会有巨大的改变。然而谈到改变，回顾人类历史，《易经》早已告诉我们，我们一直生活在一个变幻无穷的世界。这并非第一次，也绝不会是最后一次，人类需要学会抱持不变之道去应对所有需要面临的改变。

这场灾难也给我们一个非常好的提醒，我们都需要学会放慢点脚步（“慢活”），能更多地敬天爱人。我们要将机会更平均、更公平地分配给所有的人，尤其要更多地用心去关爱一直以来被我们破坏的大自然。这场危机其实是对人性的一个重大考验，它让我们看到了“時窮节乃見，患难见真情”的人性美好，也看到了人们“幸灾乐祸, 落井下石”的人性丑陋。我们也从中认识到虽然新冠病毒具有极强的传染性，但是人们的关爱之心更强大、也更有感染力。其实千年来，人类几乎没有一个世纪没有重大灾难，但我们对人性持续抱持的信心和希望，我想是人类面对一次又一次毁灭性的灾难还能绵延下去的原因。因此我们继续相信，人性的伟大，终能战胜灾难。大道至简-- 一条路走到底的坚持。

Reflection in a time of disaster

Looks like this war against the virus is just like KGKF’sfight against greed and fear of human nature, will be a protracted war (持久战), not a war of annihilation (歼灭战). Also let’s set our expectations right, in the end, there will not be business as usual. Our lives will not return to the old normalcy, but will be a changed new normalcy (新常态). As a result of this disaster, it’s inevitable how people think and do things will be greatly different. However, looking back in human history, the Book of Changes《易经》 has taught us that we are living in an ever-changing world/universe. This is not the first time, and will not be the last time human beings have to learn how to manage the changes by holding the unchanging fundamentals.

The pandemic also reminds us that people need to learn how to slow down a bit, to respect for nature and love for people (敬天爱人). We need to distribute the opportunities in a more even and fair manner to each other, especially to better care for the nature that people have abused through the years. This disaster has been a true test on humanity, we saw both its bright side (“时穷节乃见，患难见真情”), as well as its ugly side (“幸灾乐祸, 落井下石”). The disaster has also shown us the virus is very infectious, but the loving and caring hearts are even more infectious and powerful! In the past thousand years of human history, there was nearly no century free of disasters. But the continued confidence and hope of people in humanity have sustained mankind history under the devastating disasters time after time. With that in mind, we continue to believe that perseverance is the way to achieve the great purpose. 大道至简- - 一條路走到底的堅持。
