大道至简 -- 一条路走到底的坚持
2019年是我们全面开启KGKF 2.0时代之年。除了将十多年来在这片土地上奠定的系统性解决社会问题的根基继续巩固深化外，我们尝试走出现有14个实践基地，寻求与全国各地基层政府和企业建立一个新的合作伙伴关系的努力也有着让人鼓舞的进展。在这新的合作平台上，基于合作伙伴的全面主导，大大加速了KGKF“付出心血，为了可持续影响人、改变人”的模式在全国更大范围复制推广的可能性。
KGKF一直以来是做人的工作，正己化人，带头人的培养将永远是我们前行的所有工作中的重中之重。我们需要不断地为自己，更为社会培养一批充满热情、素质与能力并重，能一条路走到底，真正解决社会问题的带头人。 通过专题培训、日常辅导、跟班学习和项目实践等，使我们自己和我们的合作伙伴不断成长。过去几年，在带头人的带动下，村民的思维发生了改变。我们身边发生了许多改变人的故事，朴实且感人至深。我们见证了人们为了建立一个公平和谐社会，为了追求更加幸福美好生活而不断努力，最终取得感人的成果。
进入2020年，好像我们正面对一个多事之秋。其实，历史上没有一个世纪不出现重大灾难，灾难是大自然对人性的考验，在灾难之中才能“时穷节乃见，患难见真情”。 而“为人点灯，明在我前”，千百年来，人类是靠互助互惠生存下来的。 在生命的长河中，不论个人，企业或国家都要学会选择，在万变中选择不变之道，在不确定中选择确定的方向，在万般不确定中做点自己能确定有意义的事，“择一事，做一生，惠众生”。 当然选择只是个开始，圆满完成才是最终目的。愚公移山和都江堰的故事，几代人锲而不舍，感动人的不光是结果，更是精神。伟大事业之伟大，关键不在于事业本身，而是这些事业所彰显的信念和价值。
大道至简，知易行难。十三年前，我们选择了这条至简大道，坚信同步提升人的素质和能力，改变人的思维能帮助解决机会分配不均的社会问题，因而能建立一个规范、公德、公平、和谐的小康社会。
不积跬步，无以至千里。完成千里之行，靠的是持之以恒的精神和义无反顾的勇气。往前走，虽千难万阻，我们仍会携手在这条至简的大道上，一条路走到底的坚持下去。 彭定中

Perseverance - The Way to Accomplish the Great Purpose
The year 2019 saw us enter into the era of KGKF 2.0. While we continued to strengthen our systemic endeavours to solve social problems, we expanded our influence beyond the existing fourteen bases. Encouraging results have been achieved in our quest for new partnerships with grassroots government and companies. This new partnership platform, which is primarily led by our partners, has accelerated the nation-wide replication of KGKF’s model of “Sustainably changing people with our heart and time”.
KGKF’s work is people-focused. As we believe in leading by example, our top priority is developing a group of change drivers. The Foundation’s colleagues and partners that we developed are enthusiastic, virtuous and capable. Most importantly, they would have the tenacity to tread this long and arduous path in pursuit of eradicating social problems. Through training, supervision, mentoring field trip, and project implementation, we have witnessed these change drivers' growth driving further mindset changes in our beneficiaries. Those are the stories that touch our hearts most—the stories of people unwaveringly building a fair and harmonious society for a brighter and happier life.
Daunted by the myriad challenges of the year 2020, we are audacious that those tests on humanity will only bring us closer together with a more accurate reflections of our true strengths and weaknesses. We have learned that reciprocation of kindness has enabled humanity to thrive through the centuries. Conscious choices are to be made by each individual, company, and nation-state — to find an anchor in a state of flux and to sail towards the right direction in times of uncertainties. The meaning of life is the compass that guides our journey of “making the right choice, dedicating our life to it, and benefiting others in the process”. The stories of “The Foolish Man Removes the Mountains” and “The Dujiangyan Irrigation System” inspire us to appreciate the meaningful values and beliefs held by those people leading up to the marvellous accomplishments instead of just the outcome itself.
The path to our goal is simple but full of obstacles. Thirteen years ago, we made a conscious decision to embark on this simple yet challenging path. We believe in raising people’s quality and capability so that their mindset change will contribute to solving the social problems of unequal distribution of opportunities and eventually building a rule-abiding, caring, fair, and harmonious society. The small steps that we have taken are bringing us incrementally closer to our destination. It is with our persevering and courageous spirit that we will overcome the difficulties on the path and eventually achieve our ultimate goal.David J. Pang
