1. Thank you 陳菁 for leading a very fruitful discussion. As expected, her topic tonight about "money" touched everybody's heart. I think 君子愛財 from 論語, is part of the human nature. Chinese believe money can drive not only people, but also the ghost (有錢能使鬼推磨).

2. That's what 刘婷 said “天下熙熙，皆为利来，天下攘攘，皆为利往”。 Yes, 利 attracts people, and helps to drive the development of civilization. But if the 利 is related only to money, then the civilization development may just be 物質文明, as a result after 改革開放30年, the 精神文明 is very much lagged behind.

3. With that in mind, looks like we have to expand the definition of 利 in a much broader sense, how about a 利 which is much more sustainable than money? I think 劉欣's story about "小时候爷爷奶奶叫我退了回一元钱的“报酬??此事虽小，却对我影响很大，记忆尤新。“ is a very good example of the sustainable 利 he gained in his life.
3.那么，看来我们一定要把这个“利”的范畴再扩大一些，譬如说让这个”利“比金钱更可持续？我想刘欣给我们分享的故事，小时候爷爷奶奶叫我退了回一元钱，报酬??此事虽小，却对我影响很大，记忆尤新——关于何为更可持续的利，这个故事是一个非常好的示范。
4. Agree with 龍莎, we all need and deserve to have the ability to have 基本生活的保障. I think that's what the responsibility of all the government's of the world to provide to their people. And that's what many social organization like ours are trying to help. In this regards, China continues to do better in time.

5. After that, we then need to think about what 周金鳯 said "究竟金钱能有多少价值，那要看使用它的人赋予它怎样的意义??想清楚自己想干什么, 然后让它实现它的价值。" The real value / meaning of money is just like what 彭飛 said "取之有道，用之有道". This "道" not only care for ourselves, but also for others.

7. 賀佳 is right that many of your parents and my mother are all the same, "挣了舍不得自己花", but they are very generous for others when others have a need.
