贵州苗寨三日行（彭定中2009年11月下旬于贵州丹寨） [复制链接]

2009年11月下旬，彭先生前往贵州丹寨视察嘉里集团郭氏基金会在当地的脱贫基地，以下是他要与我们分享的风景和故事。

标题原文：Three Days in a Guizhou 苗寨

中文译作：贵州苗寨三日行





原文：
This is my 5th time to Guizhou Danzhai. However, it is the 1st time I have more time to get to better know the people in the village and have a feeling of their daily lives.

译文：
这是我第五次来到贵州丹寨。但是，这是我第一次有比较多的时间来更好地了解村民们，以及感受一下他们的日常生活。









 

原文：
If you don't drink their hospitality wine, don't think the villagers will allow you to enter their Miao Zhai.

译文：
如果不喝下他们的进门酒，村民们是不会让你进入苗寨的。











原文：
It is a big celebration for our arrival, almost the same as celebrating the New Year in the village.


译文：
为了欢迎我们的到来，村民们举行了盛大的欢迎仪式，村里几乎和过年一样热闹。







原文：
The firecrackers created a lot of smoke and noise.

译文：
爆竹声响起，空气中弥漫着硝烟。






原文：
Looks like everybody in the village are out there to welcome us.

译文：
好像村里所有的人都走出了家门来迎接我们。







原文：
Including this mother and her lovely baby.

译文：
包括这位母亲和她可爱的孩子。

Her sweet smile made me feel very much welcomed.

译文：
她甜美的笑脸，让我倍觉温暖。






原文：
This old lady came with some physical difficulties. I appreciate her show of hospitality very much.

译文：
看到这位行动不便的老人也出来迎接，我心里非常感激。















 

原文：
This is a very beautiful and peaceful Miao Zhai.

译文：
这是一个美丽、宁静的苗家村寨。






原文：
Looks like the villagers had a good year in corn harvest.

译文：
看来今年的玉米收成不错。







原文：
This proud lady with her beautiful head decorating pieces wanted us to visit her home.

译文：
这位戴着精美头饰的妇女满怀自豪地想邀请我们去她家坐一坐。






原文：
Now I am surrounded by all the beautiful Miao ladies which would make all you boys very jealous?

译文：
看到我和这么多漂亮的苗族姑娘们坐在一起，你们男孩子是不是感到很羡慕？







原文：
I don't think I know how to dance, but how can you turn down a beautiful lady's invitation?

译文：
我想我并不会跳舞，但是你怎能拒绝一位漂亮女士的邀请？







原文：
We had a very good communication session.

译文：
我们和村民们开了一个会，相互进行了很好的交流。







原文：
It gave me a very good opportunity to hear directly from the villagers what's in their mind. I didn't expect that they can communicate with me so openly.

译文：
这让我有机会直接从村民们口中了解到他们的想法。之前我并没有料到他们会如此坦率地来和我交谈。







原文：
Of course, we got to have a simple but very tasty and spicy Miao dinner.

译文：当然，我们吃上了一顿简单、可口、也很辣的苗家晚餐。








原文：
More drinking again!
I have to confess that I do cheat a bit when forced to drink by the ladies.

译文：
又要喝酒了！
我得承认，在被女士们迫着喝酒时我还是耍了点小伎俩，没有很实在地都喝下去。







原文：
A busy day for 赶集。I think this a great occasion for not just buying and selling things, but very important for people to meet, communicate and exchange information.

译文：
这天是赶集的日子，大家都很忙。我想这不但是一个买卖货物的场所，也是人们相互见面和交流、互通信息的重要机会。







原文：
While taking care her two children, this lady has to take care of her business as well. She has earned all our respect.

译文：
在照看两个孩子的同时还得照看生意，这位妇女赢得了我们所有人的尊敬。







原文：
Very fresh carrots!

译文：
非常新鲜的胡萝卜！







原文：
Hope the projects as we are planning like this one,

译文：
希望我们正在规划的项目，像这一个







原文：
and this one,

译文：
以及这一个







原文：
will bring those poor people at 城江村 棉朵寨 better lives very soon.

译文：
很快就会给城江村棉朵寨这些贫穷的人们带来更好一些的生活。

看着照片中这些亲切的笑脸，就像看到我自己的乡亲们一样
很亲切，很暖心，她们笑脸中释放的热情，他们的淳朴憨厚，
总是能打动人的心灵！

我想对基金会的同事们来说，这是一份工作，也是一份事业，还是一个使命。看得出来，彭先生和他的同事们在为这份工作、这个事业和使命奉献着他们的时间、金钱、精力和爱心。他们很快乐，因为他们心中怀着信念。
