2009年11月中旬，彭定中先生前往温州出席温州香格里拉大酒店的开业仪式，以下是他想和我们分享的故事。

原文：
This is the largest restaurant in Wenzhou, and the largest restaurant I have ever been. It has a 6000 square meter dining area, can serve about 2000 customers at a time. Their business has been great since it opened.

译文：
这是温州最大的餐厅，也是我见过的最大的餐厅。6000平米的就餐区可同时接待大约2000名客人。自开业以来，它的生意就非常红火。

原文：
I was told that the secret of their success is to use only the very fresh materials, either meat fish or vegetable.

译文：
人们告诉我，这家餐厅成功的秘诀在于他们只采用最新鲜的原料，无论是肉类，鱼类还是蔬菜。

原文：
To guarantee the quality of the food, they built their own farm to make sure that they have the very fresh material for all their cooking.

译文：

With all the well trained people, the restaurant also provides great services that has pleased the customers.

Very nice facilities, all the details have been thought through and taken cared.

译文：

I am here to attend the grand opening of the Wenzhou Shangrila Hotel.

译文：
我到这里来参加温州香格里拉大酒店的开业仪式。

原文：
Looks like they are all ready for the guests to arrive.

译文：
看来他们已经准备就绪，随时准备迎接客人的光临。

原文：
Everybody is ready including the lion dancers.

译文：
所有的人都已经准备停当，包括这些舞狮者。

原文：
This is the 1700 square meter ball room.
The tables were all set. The guests have arrived.

译文：
1700平米的大宴会厅。餐桌已经摆设好，客人已经落坐。

原文：
All the waitresses were standing by and ready to serve.

译文：
所有的服务生已经处于待命状态，随时准备为客人提供服务。

原文：
After the preparation of a great meal, the Shangrila chefs came out of the kitchen to greet their customers with great pride.

As you can see that both the largest restaurant in Wenzhou and the newly opened Wenzhou Shangrila have some thing in common. They both put a lot of emphases in details of the hardware as well as the software. They all have tried very hard to understand what the customers want and very important how they feel so they can provide them with the excellent service which the custermer deserve. However, please do remember, without a genuine caring heart all the services will only be artificial and superficial, can never touch people's heart.

在为盛大的宴会做好一切准备后，香格里拉大酒店的厨师们从厨房里走出来，满怀自豪地向来宾们致意。

如你们所见，温州最大的餐厅和新开业的香格里拉大酒店具有一些共同之处。他们都非常注重软、硬件的细节。他们都致力于了解顾客的所需和探听顾客的感受，以便为他们提供卓越的服务，让客人觉得来这里消费是物有所值。但是，请一定记住，如果不是怀着一颗真诚的关爱之心，那么所有的服务都会显得虚假和肤浅，不会赢得客人的心。
