Stopped over in Wilmington to revisit DuPont, the company I have worked for over 20 years, a very important part of my career. Wilmington Delaware is a small city located about mid point between Washington and New York. This is DuPont building, the headquarter of the E I DuPont Company in downtown Wilmington. 译文：

Many of the DuPont's miracle of science occurred at this university campus like research and development center, the DuPont Experimental Station. From here DuPont has invented synthetic fibers and many many well known products such as Nylon, Teflon, Lycra, Tyvek etc. Those products have helped to fundamentally changed people's everyday life around the world.
If you still remember what I told you in Changsha last summer: Doesn't matter what you studied in school or do at work, if it can not be connected with people, help people, at the end it would not have too much meaning. This is also very true for science. If the miracle of science is not people related, then it would not be a miracle at all. I always like the old DuPont slogan, "Better Things for Better Living". Through its hundreds of years of history, DuPont's miracle of science has always been striving to invent and make better things to help people to live the more enjoyable and meaning lives.

Of course the culture would not be able to develop or disappear overnight. DuPont safety begins with it's genuine caring for people. To work and behave safely is to first think safely, and love and care for yourselves, but very important, also for your family, your coworkers, and all the people surrounding you.
As you can imagine that explosive is a very dangerous business. When E I du Pont started his black powder manufacturing work along the Brandywine River bank, to show his determination to be able to make even the very dangerous explosive work safe, he put his family house on top of the factories along the river bank to live close to the workplace and his workers. Of course, working safely took a lot of commitment and very disciplined work requirements from the entire organization from top to bottom.
Through the years DuPont has proved that you can turn the most dangerous place into the safest place if you have the determination to do it right. All the incidents are preventable.

It was really nice to be back to see the beautiful Delaware valley where the DuPont company started and continue to be here for the past 208 years. With Michelle, together there are 2 generations of my family have worked for this company of long history and great traditions. A company has discovered the miracles of science and made better products for people's better living. It is also a company which has a genuine caring for people, it made safety the highest priority in everything it does and save many people's lives.
I think I am extremely fortunate and I am very grateful that I have worked for a company with great principle. When your personal principle and the company principle are in perfect alignment, going to work every morning becomes such a happy event.
