2010年3月中旬，彭定中先生率香港嘉里集团郭氏基金会一行再次踏上灾区绵竹，以下是他想与大家分享的风景和故事。

原文：
What you can see here in these pictures happened almost 2 years ago. It seems like a long time ago, but I think the memory of this tragic earthquake will be remembered for a long long time.

译文：
图片中的这些场景，发生在将近2年前的大地震中。好像这已经是很久以前的事，但我想人们对于这场灾难的回忆将会保留住很长的一段时间。

Although the shadow of the tragedy can still be seen from far on the mountain slopes, looks like that the spring is finally arrived here in Manzhu earthquake zoom.

译文：
在远处的山坡上，仍然能看到这场灾难的痕迹，但春天终于还是来到了绵竹灾区。

原文：
The brilliant color of the rape seed flowers under the spring sun has indeed helped to bring lives in this tragic land.

译文：
明媚的阳光下盛开着金灿灿的油菜花，为这片灾难的土地带来了勃勃生机。

原文：
The white pear flowers across the mountain side is so beautiful. It has helped at least temporarily wash out some of the tragic memories from the earthquake occurred about 2 years ago at this land.

译文：
山腰上开着洁白的梨花。人们心中关于两年前那场灾难的悲伤回忆，至少暂时被这样的美景冲洗掉了一些。

Today the city is pretty much back to normal. Looks like the businesses are booming!

译文：

With our help, the construction of the approximately 2000 earthquake resistant new houses have all completed before the Chinese New Year.

Those kids many of them lost their parents during the earthquake, have really stood up from the ruin and regain their confidence and hope for the future.

With the children's inspiring words and the fragrance in the air, I truly feel that after the tragic earthquake of 512, the real spring is finally here.
