原文：
I took a very short visit to Hanzhou recently. Very glad to have the opportunity to revisit the West Lake. It was in the spring of 1982, I visited this famous beautiful lake for the first time. I can still remembered it was a raining morning. I got up early and walked on this famous "broken bridge". Walking in front of me was a girl with a red umbrella. I couldn't see her face. With the peach blossom and the new green willow trees along the lake in the early spring rain and mist, presented in front of me was such a beautiful picture. I did take a photo to capture that beautiful moment. Now many years have pasted, although I can no longer find the picture, the memory of that beautiful moment is still clearly remained in my mind.

译文：
前不久我去了一趟杭州。虽然停留的时间很短，我还是很有幸地重游了一次西湖。说起我第一次去西湖，那是1982年春天的事了。我现在还记得，那是一个下雨的早晨。我很早就起了床，走上了这著名的“断桥”。走在我前面的是一个打着红伞的女孩，我看不见她的脸。早春的西湖，桃红柳绿，烟雨濛濛，在我眼前的，是怎样的一副美景。我曾经拍下一张照片，想要留住这美丽的时刻。现在，很多年过去了，那张照片我已经再也找不到，但那个美丽的早晨，在我心中依然清晰如故。

原文：
Since then I have been back to Hanzhou many times through the years. This time I appreciated the opportunity to visit the lake again in the late autumn and enjoyed this beautiful lake sunset.

译文：
在那之后，我也曾多次来到杭州，但都没有机会再去看看西湖。这一次，我抓住了这个机会，在晚秋时节故地重游，得以欣赏到这美丽的日落。

原文：
As many poets of the past thousand years have elegantly described, doesn't matter what season of the year or what time of the day, one can always appreciate the beauty of the West Lake. With the mountains beyond the mountains, and the pavilions beyond the pavilions, the elegance and the beauty of the West Lake would never cease with time.

译文：
上千年来，文人墨客们用了多少优美的词句，来赞誉这美丽的西湖。正如他们所形容的，一年之中，无论在哪个季节，一天之中，无论在哪个时刻，西湖永远都是那么美。巍巍青山绵延起伏，亭台楼阁相映成趣（山外青山楼外楼），西湖的美，不会随着时光的流逝而停滞。

原文：
Also have the opportunity to visit an old temple from Jin Dynasty.

译文：
我也游览了这座起源于晋朝的千年古寺。

原文：
You can overlook the West Lake from far. It's just beautiful.

译文：
远观西湖，真是美不胜收。

原文：
I was amazed, in the past years, the surrounding areas of the lake have all been preserved so nicely.

译文：
令我惊叹的是，在过去的这么多年里，西湖周围的环境保存得如此完好。

原文：
With the cooperation of the visitors and residents and the enhanced environmental awareness, it looks like that our children and our children's children will all have the opportunities to continue to enjoy this beautiful scenery of "the heaven on earth".

译文：
在游客和居民的配合下，随着人们环保意识的不断增强，看来我们的子孙后代将可以继续欣赏到这“人间天堂”的美景。

还记得第一次去杭州的场景，当时是刚刚吃完晚饭，大家说着杭州西湖风景不错，我就建议说择日不如撞日，就今天去，然后大家也被我的热情感染到，立马收拾东西就去火车站买票。半夜1点多钟到了杭州，那时特别的兴奋，呵呵

如今再想起，依旧历历在目，杭州西湖的景色的却是不错，建议大家有机会都去看看。

也希望像彭先生所说的那样，若干年后，我们的子孙后代也依然可以欣赏到这“人间天堂”的美景。
