Just got back from our 素兰 annual meeting in 长沙. As many of you said during the wrap-up session Monday morning, the three days of get-together went through so quickly. Just like the old saying, the time flies when you really enjoy and treasure it. Looking at each of your faces from this picture, I can still vividly see your warm smiles and hear your laughing voices.

译文：
刚刚在长沙参加完我们的素兰年会。就像很多同学在周一上午的总结发言中所说的，三天的聚会过得真快。俗话说，欢乐的时光总是短暂的。看着这张照片中的一张张面孔，我仿佛又看见了你们的音容笑貌，听到了你们的欢声笑语。年会上的一切都还历历在目，恍若昨日。

原文：
As you all know 素兰 is a big family. To maintain the longevity of this family, we need to continuously inject new blood into our family. Look at our family's new members 生力军 this year! They are young, fresh and lovely. We warmly welcome them to join our 素兰 family!

译文：
你们都知道，素兰是一个大家庭。为了让这个家庭长期发展下去，我们需要持续地注入新的血液。看看今年加入我们的生力军吧！他们是多么的年轻，鲜活，和可爱！我们热烈欢迎他们加入我们的素兰大家庭！

原文：
They can not only sing, but also dance well!

译文：
他们不只是歌唱得好，舞跳得也很棒！

原文：
Of course for our more senior members of the family, they are just "年华正茂"。

译文：
当然，说到那些稍微年长些的同学，就像他们做的访谈节目“年华正茂”一样，他们真的是“年华正茂”，正值当年。

原文：
I have to say that their 小品 should not be worse than those you saw in 春晚。

译文：
我必须要说，同学们表演的小品，丝毫不比你们看过的春晚上的那些小品逊色。

原文：
However, the best performance of the night has to go to the older generation, my sister 丽明。I think that you all have to agree that her dance was as good or better than any of the younger generation can bring that night.

不过，那天晚上最精彩的表演，还是得算在老一代身上，就是我妹妹丽明表演的那个舞蹈。我想你们都必须要承认，丽明跳的那段舞，和那天晚上任何一个同学的表演来比都不会逊色，甚至应该说都无出其右。

While I and my sisters are all getting older,

当我和我的姐姐、我的妹妹们渐渐老去的时候，

Our boys have grown stronger,

我们的小伙子们正在成长得越来越高大、壮实，

and our girls have definitely grown more beautiful!

译文：
我们的姑娘们也正在变得越来越漂亮！

原文：
Yes, Sulan is not a scholarship, it is a big loving and caring family for all of us. Sulan helps us to create our dreams, and together we then transform our dreams into great memories. It is the commonly shared dreams and memories which have bonded us together.

With the additional 10 new members joining the family this year, we have grown from just one member in 2002 to today's 55 members. I am very please to see that through the years, we have not just grown in size but also in maturity. As many of you indicated during our reflection session at the end of the meeting, there were many changes among you over the years. You have acquired more knowledge, and more real experiences in life. I think the combination of both has flowed out naturally and changed your 气质。 You have certainly not only grown in age, but also become more caring for each other and therefore Sulan has become more and more like a family.

I am sure moving forward in the future, you will continue to be Sulan Family members and good friends walking together and supporting each other with the bonding of 亲情和友情 in the journey of life ahead.

是的，素兰并不是一个奖学金。对我们所有人来说，素兰是一个充满关爱的大家庭。这个家庭帮助我们创造梦想，然后我们再一起把这些梦想转化为共同的、美好的回忆。是这些共同的梦想和回忆，让我们彼此紧密相连，亲如家人。

随着今年10位新同学的加入，我们素兰学子的人数已经从2002年的1位同学发展到了现在的55位。我很欣慰，经过这些年的发展，我们不只是扩大了我们的规模，同时在素质上也得到了成长。很多同学都在最后的会议总结发言中说到，这些年来，在你们身上发生了很多的变化。你们从书本上学到了更多的知识，也从实际生活中获取了更多的人生经验。我想正是这两方面的结合在你们身上的自然流露，让你们的气质得到改变。岁月流转，你们不只是年龄更大了，而是越来越懂得关爱他人。也正因为此，素兰越来越像一个家。

我非常确信，在未来的日子里，你们会继续带着亲情和友情，在人生的路上相互扶持，一路同行。

从加入素兰这个大家庭，到现在时间一晃已经这么过年过去了。我们的这个大家庭是越来越大，越来越温馨。

我们中的很多小丫头，小男孩都已经长成现在的大姑娘，大男孩，记忆中大家一路走来的经历都是历历在目，彷如昨日。

我想我们已经拥有很多美好的回忆，新生的加入，注入新的血液，我们欢迎也期待你们与我们大家一起创造更多的美好，

与我们分享你们的快乐与不快的事儿，我们是一个团结友爱的大家庭！

祝愿长辈们身体健康！

祝愿这个家庭中的每个成员都能拥有一个美好的未来，加油共勉！
