2013年5月22日，彭定中先生在青海循化县视察嘉里集团郭氏基金会在当地的扶贫基地，以下是他想与大家分享的风景和故事。

标题原文：蓝天、白云、绿草——再访青海

原文：
It was really nice to come back to the land of the blue sky, the white cloud, the green grass and very important the fresh sweet air.

译文：
重返青海这片土地，享受着这蓝天、白云、绿草地，以及无比清新的空气，感觉真的是太好了。

原文：
We were all touched by the reception given by the villagers. They really made us feel like coming home.

译文：
村民们的热情接待，让我们觉得就像回到家了一样，我们都被深深地感动了。

原文：
Almost every family of the village came out and lined up to present the 哈達 to us !

译文：
村里几乎家家户户都出来了，他们排着队来为我们献哈达！

原文：
Including the kids!

译文：
连小孩们也都出来了！

原文：
It's like a big festival for all the villagers. It's a very happy occasion especially for the women and children!

译文：
对所有的村民们来说，这就像是一个重要的节日。尤其是妇女和儿童所在之处，到处充满了欢声笑语。

原文：
I was touched by almost every family of this 藏族 village came to greet us, and tried to show their gratitude for some small things we have done for them in the past 9 months.

译文：
在过去的九个月里，我们为这个藏族村庄做了一些小小的事情。现在几乎村子里的每家每户都出来迎接我们，向我们表达他们的感激之情。我真的很受感动。

原文：
During my communication talk to the villagers, this 藏族 lady sit in the middle looking at me all the time with a very kind and grateful smile on her face. She and many others in the village gave me the impression that they are the simple and humble people with kind and grateful hearts. They are poor but live with dignity and pride. They are the people of 樂天知命，不怨天尤人，and truly believe in the good virtue of 自助，人助，天助, in that order.

译文：
在我和村民们谈话的时候，这位坐在中间的藏族妇女一直都用满含善良、感激的微笑看着我。这位妇女，以及很多别的村民，都让我觉得他们是非常纯朴、谦逊的人，他们怀着善良、感激的心来面对生活。他们是很穷，但是他们活得有尊严，活得很自豪。他们乐天知命，不怨天尤人。他们相信“自助，人助，天助”的真谛，懂得这几者前后因果的关系。

原文：
We were told that to show their gratitude, the villagers have spent lots of their time, with their hearts to make at least 2 breads each family for us to enjoy during this event. With the freshly home made bread and butter, I think that delicious taste in my mouth and the warmth in my heart will always be remained in my sweet memory!

译文：
人们告诉我们，为了迎接我们的到来，村民们用了很多时间，每家每户都精心准备了至少两片面包，来表达他们对我们的感激之情。吃着这新鲜的村民家里自制的面包和黄油，我想我嘴里的这份美味和心里的这份温暖，会一直留在这美好的回忆里！

原文：
Money can not change people, only people can change people. Moving forward, in order to help those kind and simple villagers 善良純樸的村民 to live a better life, we have to have a strong team of passionate people like these young Foundation colleagues.

译文：
钱不能改变人，只有人能改变人。为了帮助这些善良纯朴的村民们过上更好的生活，我们一定要有一个强有力的团队，这个团队要由像我这些年轻的同事们一样负有使命感的人组成。

原文：
We are very fortunate to be able to have some high quality young university graduates to join us. Like this young lady at the right, a 村官 has a law degree, just decided to join our local team during my visit.

译文：
我们很幸运能够邀请到一些高素质的年轻大学生加入我们的团队。就像照片中右边这位年轻的女士，她是一位持有法学学位的村官。就在我此次考察的途中，她决定了要加入我们的基地。

原文：
Our newly formed Foundation team established only about 9 months ago has already developed and executed a few projects in the areas of health, education, water and also enterprise, like the one below to help villagers to raise sheep.

译文：
我们这个基地的团队大概是九个月前才成立的，现在已经在卫生、教育、水资源和产业这几个方面开发、执行了几个项目。下图所示是我们帮助村民们养殖绵羊的一个项目。

原文：
Looks like we have a good start in 青海! However, we are just like these babies, only got started. There is still a long and difficult journey ahead of us.

译文：
看来我们在青海已经有了一个不错的开端！不过，就像这些襁褓中的小生命一样，我们这才刚刚上路，前面还有很长、很艰难的路等着我们。

原文：
Along the way, from time to time we may fall. But we shall strive to stand up and continue the journey.

译文：
在未来的路上，我们可能会一次又一次地跌倒。但是我们一定会挣扎着站起来，继续前行。

原文：
Hope one day when we look back, under the same blue sky and white cloud, on the green grass we see the simple and kind hearted people, they have already developed the capabilities so they can create opportunities for not just themselves but also others.

译文：
希望有一天，当我们再次回到这片蓝天、白云下的土地，在这片绿草地上，我们会看见这些善良、纯朴的人们已经具备了相当的能力，可以为他们自己，并且也为他人创造脱贫致富的机会。
